6 Point Withdrawal Period

 

Your may experience some of  the "withdrawal symptoms" listed below.  This will help you recognize and understand the symptoms that may occur.

HUNGER If you feel hungry at any time during the Matol Diet, you can eat additional Matol Diet packets a a snack or during meals up to a maximum of 5 per day.  After 3 days the hunger should disappear due to the production of "ketonic bodies."  Also, you need to increase the amount of water you are drinking.

 

BAD BREATH Having bad  breath is a good sign.  This occurs when the body goes into "ketosis," and produces "ketonic bodies."  This means that the body has exhausted its carbohydrates supply and is burning fat reserves to produce energy and burn calories from fat.

CONSTIPATION If you are constipated for  more then 2 days, add more water and vegetables to your daily intake.  Try and walk after your meals.  Double up on your Calcium and Magnesium and your Matol/Km.  Only use a stool softener or laxative as a last resort.

 

IRREGULAR WEIGHT LOSS Review your Daily log to see where your "problem" days occurred.  Also, pre or post menopausal women or women with normal menstrual cycles will experience water retention that will mask the weigh loss for approximately one week each month.. The following week,  you should be back on track.

NAUSEA & MUSCLE CRAMPS These are signs of lack of sodium and potassium.  Remember to always take supplements as directed.

HEADACHES Headaches are a sign of Dehydration.  Increase your water intake, the headaches will pass.
