To Kim of JJCJ Distributions:
I raise basenjis in South Georgia. Basenjis are a
VERY active dog well into their old age. They also have a life span of 16
to 18 years with many living even longer. Because of their active
lifestyle and their longevity, many tend to develop arthritis after the age
of 8 to 12. I have two 12 year olds and a 14 year old that
have been on KM for the past year. They have never looked or felt
better.
The oldest girl, Sassafras, could not reach the
ground to pick up a treat when they went outside. Now she pushes the
other younger dogs out of the way to get as many treats as possible.
She has no trouble scarfing them up off the ground. Her eyes, coat, and
skin have also improved greatly. She looks and feels like a young dog
again.
The male of the bunch, Jack, was a top show dog in
his time. He has sired over 38 AKC Champions and has more on the
way. While I was attending a university athletic event in Alabama, Jack
was attacked by a group of younger male basenjis trying to "dethrone the
King". He almost died from a collapsed lung, torn muscles, and
numerous bite wounds all over his body. His vet was amazed he survived the
attack at all but worked diligently to put him back
together.
While he was recuperating, my friend
and basenji breeder, Steve Berry of Escapade Basenjis in Knoxville,
Tennessee, sent me a bottle of KM. He was using it with his old stud dog
who had intestinal cancer so close to the stomach that it could not be removed
completely. His prognosis had been disastrous and the vets at the
University of Tennessee gave them little hope of his survival from the
operation much less the cancer. Well he not only lived for
another nine months but he and a young female of mine produced a litter of
6 healthy, beautiful show puppies that are about to start their
show careers this month. Steve believed in the KM and wanted me to
try it on Jack.
I admit I was a little skeptical, but I had little
to lose, so I began giving it to Jack and Sassafras in their food.
They loved the taste and would remind me if I had forgotten it. Jack
slowing improved and began acting more and more like his old self. His
eyes started to shine, his coat healed up to the point you could see no
scarring, and his throat healed. His only lasting scar was an ear that was
a little wider at the base than the other one. He made such a miraculous
comeback that I entered him in a dog show in Orlando, and he went Best
Veteran in Show, defeating many dogs 5 years his junior. The Judges
commented on what great shape he was in and how he surely didn't look
eleven years old. I attribute much of that vitality to KM as he is
livelier now that he was before his accident.
The final girl, Squirt, had been given to a couple
that had purchased a male puppy from me and wanted a companion for
him. While she was gone, she gained so much weight that she was
lethargic, listless, and certainly had no sparkle in her eyes and she even
gasped to breathe adequately. I immediately cut her food way back and put
her on KM. She has now lost the weight and runs and plays with the other
dogs. Her eyes also sparkle and she has the old sheen back on her
coat.
I swear by the product. I will keep all of my
dogs on KM from the age of 10 onward. I have lived with and seen the
results with my own eyes. I swear by BilJac Reduced Fat dry food and KM
as its only supplement. It works for my dogs, and I'll bet it will
work for others as well.
Sincerly,
Gale N. Whitehurst
